I'm going try out retiring the status thread in the forum and use this blog for the changelog.  In theory it might get me to start using this site on a regular basis.  Also, I get to highlight images I personally like which one might notice I do with just about every post.


Changelog for 07/13/10:

• Prettier but slower version (and publicly viewable) of site stats fixed.  It hadn't been archiving and was growing ridiculously huge.
• "Find Similar" button found on the Upload page has been fixed so that it hits the correct version of hanyuu.net.
• Log continues to update/organize the wiki.

Edit:

• Tagcount fix script located and run, something log's been after me about for possibly forever.

To do:

• Setup and stick to regular maintenance schedule.
• Migrate vectorbooru over to server and close down old vm once and for all.  I meant to do that this week and quite honestly, forgot.
• Tweak/soften 3db's color scheme.  I'm still not quite happy with it.

Minor updates to the server today:

• Server maintenance page changed, now with some built in entertainment.
• 503 page edited because lol we don't offer pay accounts.
• Maintenance run, tag counts hopefully somewhat more accurate.

PS This is hot:

It has been a year or so since any real updates so let's do a state of the state, so to speak. 

• 3dbooru relocated to a new server over the '09 winter break. 
• As of today we are serving 168,197 posts.
• Average page views have gone up to over 5 million a month.
• The wiki has grown by leaps and bounds (thanks log)
• Iiniku Ushijima has overtaken Hoshino Aki in post count :o

Best comparison on file is the quarterly reports from last year in the first quarter (or third depending on your fiscal schedule).  We've seen a definite increase across the boards not that it matters, just interesting.


The blog itself was scrapped and rebuilt.  I'll make yet another go at it, if at least to do some quarterly reports and highlight some of my favorite models/images. 


Summary: Pageviews, bandwidth, unique visitors and image count up.  Cost mostly flat.  Still no clear path to self-sustainability.
